Tiffany Haddish \u201clost everything\u201d during her sexual abuse lawsuit.<\/p>\n
The 42-year-old actress was facing a child sex abuse lawsuit alongside fellow comedian Aries Spears surrounding a 2014 comedy skit and \u2013 even though the civil case was eventually dropped \u2013 has revealed she has been left unemployed as a result of the legal trouble.<\/p>\n
She told TMZ: \u201cOh I lost everything, all my gigs gone. Everything gone. I don\u2019t know, bro\u2026I don\u2019t have no jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n
The \u201cGirls Trip\u201d star was accused of intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence, sexual battery, sexual harassment, and sexual abuse of a minor in relation to a 2014 comedy sketch titled \u201cThrough a Pedophile\u2019s Eyes\u201d by a 22-year-old woman but eventually requested the case be dismissed with prejudice, meaning she cannot refile the same allegations again.<\/p>\n
Watch video:<\/strong><\/p>\n In a statement, the woman \u2013 who has only been known as Jane Doe throughout the case \u2013 said: \u201cMy family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years \u2014 and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us. <\/p>\n \u201cWe wish Tiffany the best and are glad that we can all put this behind us.\u201d<\/p>\n After the lawsuit was filed, Haddish admitted she \u201cdeeply regretted\u201d taking part in the sexually-explicit sketch, which was filmed in 2013 and published on \u201cFunny Or Die\u201d in 2014 but removed from the website four years later.<\/p>\n In a statement on Instagram, she said: \u201cI know people have a bunch of questions. I get it. I\u2019m right there with you.<\/p>\n \u201cUnfortunately, because there is an ongoing legal case, there\u2019s very little that I can say right now.<\/p>\n \u201cBut, clearly, while this sketch was intended to be comedic, it wasn\u2019t funny at all \u2013 and I deeply regret having agreed to act in it.<\/p>\n \u201cI really look forward to being able to share a lot more about this situation as soon as I can.\u201d<\/p>\n Her attorney also described the lawsuit as \u201cfrivolous\u201d.<\/p>\n
