Credit: @flynimaboy \u2014 Twitter<\/p>\n<div id=\"article-text\">\n<p>Chief Executive Officer at <em>Inside, LLC<\/em>, Nana Boateng Gyimah, says that besides giving listeners good music, artists should give consumers other reasons to support them wholeheartedly.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mr Gyimah, being an artist goes beyond doing music and making it available to fans for consumption.<\/p>\n<p>He also suggested that the support for an artist, by fans, is \u201cearned,\u201d through the way the artist gives back to society and how they treat their fans.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?height=314&#038;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FHitz1039%2Fvideos%2F417264393847467%2F&#038;show_text=false&#038;width=560&#038;t=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"314\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <strong>Andy Dosty<\/strong> on <strong>Daybreak Hitz<\/strong>, the Event Consultant said: \u201cIt\u2019s not the fault of the consumers that they are not as forthcoming. It is because the artists haven\u2019t given them reasons to be forthcoming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cThe artists need to make it worthwhile for the supporter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Gyimah went on to bemoan the low patronage of some Ghanaian events hosted abroad, irrespective of the high level of promotion and the presence of popular artists booked by event organisers.<\/p>\n<p>He also stated that some artists are partly to blame for the lack of support from fans because they do not provide enough reasons they need to be supported fully.<\/p>\n<p>He also went on to admonish fans to show their support for musicians through actions and not just words.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want to chastise the people but the support goes hand-in-hand,\u201d said Mr Gyimah.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can\u2019t like an artist\u2019s music and not turned up at his\/her event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can\u2019t sit at home and say the other country\u2019s artist is big and yours isn\u2019t and not think that you are not part of the issue for saying that,\u201d he said on <strong>Hitz FM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mr Gyimah, one of the ways artists can score more points for support from fans is by engaging in societal initiatives and getting closer to the people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey need to be much more than just singing and dancing,\u201d said Mr Gyimah.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey need to be in touch with their fans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nana B.
