He ended by urging all citizens to demand action from law enforcement and political authority.

Most farmers farm along these mercury and cynide polluted water bodies. They farm rice, garden eggs, cabbage, green pepper, okro, carrot, green beans etc.

Most cargo cars from Accra goes to these rural arrears to buy vegetables. You may live in a city, buy mineral water to drink and cook but these vegetables will find its way on your dinner table. This is the sad reality.

Many fishes are dead, due to the pollution. If Ghanaian citizens fail to help the fight against galamsey, we all will experience the consequences like the creeping plant story.

In the story, a tortoise told creeping plant to tell a singing bird to stop singing. He said that a hunter may spot the bird and kill it. The creeping plant laughed and said if the hunter kill the bird, it doesn’t concern it.

Few minutes later, a hunter approached and shot the bird dead. It feel exactly at where the tortoise was lying. The hunter cut the creeping plant and tied both bird and tortoise together.

Indeed we all have a role to play in the fight against galamsey as kidney disease can grip anyone. Don’t say it doesn’t concern you.

Content created and supplied by: Currentworldnews (via Opera
News )

    , . , .
