(Photo via Getty)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>There was hope that even those who still harbored grudges against Meghan would set their grievances aside during the official period of mourning, but that hasn\u2019t been the case.<\/p>\n<p>In the past week, we\u2019ve witnesses displays of disrespect that the British media would not tolerate if they had been directed at any other member of the royal family.<\/p>\n<p>One woman who had ostensibly queued up to offer condolences callously refused fo shake Meghan\u2019s hand, when her turn came.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/GettyImages-1243226810-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-458182\"\/><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-458182 lazyload\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/GettyImages-1243226810-scaled.jpg\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><figcaption>Prince Harry and Meghan Markle held hands during a memorial service for the Queen. (Photo by Phil Noble-WPA Pool\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In one of the more surreal stories to emerge in recent days, a conspiracy theorists accused Meghan of wearing secretly wearing a microphone and filming the Queen\u2019s memorial services for a Netflix reality show.<\/p>\n<p>When Meghan and Harry briefly held hands at one event, the UK media went apoplectic, but while Princess Anne\u2019s daughter was similarly affectionate toward her husband at the same event, no one breathed a word of it.<\/p>\n<p>On social media, the disdain for Meghan is even more blatant.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"699\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/GettyImages-1243226620-1024x699.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-458181\"\/><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"699\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-458181 lazyload\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/GettyImages-1243226620-scaled.jpg\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><figcaption>Some Brits were upset by the couple\u2019s public display of affection. (Photo via Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According to a Los Angeles Times examination of the strong anti-Meghan sentiment that\u2019s for pervasive in the UK at the moment, <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the end of the day she is causing a grieving family even more pain,\u201d one critic tweeted. \u201cAnyone with a shred of decency would go home.
