Texas \u2013 A Texas couple with an enormous age gap who met on an adult hookup site has gone public about their romance and announced their engagement.<\/p>\n

Seventy-four-year-old Kathi Jenkins and 27-year-old Devaughn Aubrey claim they started off only as sex mates. <\/p>\n

However, their one year relationship blossomed into love and they now want to spend the rest rest of their lives by each other\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

Aubrey said he knew that the 74-year-old was the one for him.<\/p>\n

Speaking about their relationship, he said, \u201cWe met online. it is a hook up site neither of us were looking for a serious relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cI stumbled on her picture, it was a picture of her breast. I read her profile and messaged her in hopes of a response. She was online too and answered back.<\/p>\n

\u201cI asked for her number and she gave it to me then she immediately asked how big my member is and we talked for a bit that night.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple then talked for four months before actually meeting, as Jenkins lived two hours away from him.<\/p>\n

Aubrey went on, \u201cOnce I got to her house she was waiting for me already in bed and directed me inside her house to her room and I came in her door and saw her, she looked way hotter than her pictures and smelled really sweet and good.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe had this silky dark red blouse on with nothing else.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank god I never told her my height. She\u2019s very selective, she\u2019s a size queen that likes tall men and I\u2019m 5ft 7ins so once she saw me in person one of the first things she said was \u2018you\u2019re short\u2019 or \u2018you\u2019re shorter than I thought\u2018.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe wasn\u2019t mad. She thought I was hot and we met at a hotel room a couple weeks after that and just kept meeting every week until she invited me over for Thanksgiving then we became official I guess.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jenkins was previously involved in a few long term relationships, but was never married. She is now retired, with four children, 13 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.<\/p>\n

Aubrey who works as a stocker at Walmart and a porter for condos, has no children, but was once married at the age of 24. <\/p>\n

However, he divorced in 2021, shortly before he met Jenkins. And he has admitted that this relationships is unlike one he had ever been in before. <\/p>\n

He said, \u201cShe is so perfect for me and she is very experienced in life and teaches me a lot. We never fight, can always talk without yelling and I trust her completely.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe sings beautifully and she knows a lot of those old songs that remind me of the stuff my grandmother liked and she knows a lot of the artists that my grandmother liked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess I like how old she is because I like older women or old women regardless if she needs a walker and stuff. I have never been bothered by that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite being in the relationship for a while, and with plans to get married next year, the pair have faced some adversity in their relationship.<\/p>\n

Jenkins said that she usually went for tall white men and Aubrey was a surprise to her family.<\/p>\n

She said, \u201cDevaughn messaged me like many others. I responded and gave him my phone so we could text. Something about him made me agree to a meeting. Many men say stupid stuff and I won\u2019t meet them but Devaughn never did.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cI told my mother about her when we started dating but she thought I was joking about her age until we spent our birthdays together, and showed her our pictures but I\u2019m sure my parents and siblings got the hint that I like older women.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do have friends around Kathi\u2019s age, some are concerned that I might want kids and can\u2019t understand why I would want someone older but they are still supportive.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause of our age gap, sometimes people assume that Kathi is rich and that I want all her money, which is not the case at all. Some people do say it\u2019s inappropriate but it\u2019s just right for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before their meeting, Jenkins and Aubrey admitted to living completely different lives, but say their worlds seem to have collided well.<\/p>\n

Jenkins said, \u201cI\u2019m just a regular lady living in Texas. I have four children, three daughters and a son, I have 13 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and counting, and one great great grandson so far.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been in Texas since my youngest was five. I have had a couple of long term relationships and worked many jobs, sometimes two at a time, I mostly waited tables or in fast food to support my children.\u201d<\/p>\n

There are times however that the age gap couple face backlash, especially with their relationship being one outside of the norm. <\/p>\n

However, they do not let the naysayers affect them because along with the negative comments come the positive ones with people supporting them.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy best friend thinks it\u2019s wonderful that we found each other,\u201d said Jenkins, while Aubrey chipped in saying: \u201cMost people say \u2018as long as you\u2019re happy\u2019, and we are very happy\u201d.<\/p>\n
