{"id":1203460,"date":"2022-09-13T14:02:55","date_gmt":"2022-09-13T14:02:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/09\/13\/kim-kardashian-sex-tape-how-much-did-it-actually-earn\/"},"modified":"2022-09-13T14:02:55","modified_gmt":"2022-09-13T14:02:55","slug":"kim-kardashian-sex-tape-how-much-did-it-actually-earn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/09\/13\/kim-kardashian-sex-tape-how-much-did-it-actually-earn\/","title":{"rendered":"Kim Kardashian Sex Tape: How Much Did It Actually Earn?!?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Folks, the Kim Kardashian sex tape is back in the news.<\/p>\n<p>Late last week, Kris Jenner took an alleged lie detector test while making an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.<\/p>\n<p>Asked if she played any role 15 years ago in the release of Kim Kardashian Superstar \u2014 the X-rated footage that depicted her daughter taking it from Ray J on camera, which hit the market just weeks before the premiere of Keeping Up with the Kardashians \u2014 Jenner responded as follows:<\/p>\n<p><em>No<\/em>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><noscript\/><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"681\" alt=\"ray j tape\" class=\"wp-image-416611 lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/ray-j-tape.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><figcaption>The Kim Kardashian-Ray J sex tape is still making news.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The polygraph claimed Kris was telling the truth, which prompted quite a follow up from Ray J the next day.<\/p>\n<p>In a pair of videos that totaled over 40 minutes in length and which he uploaded to social media, the artist BLASTED Jenner and also Kim for continuing to play innocent when it came to the release of this popular video.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou going to try to crush my career, make me look stupid, when you know you was the mastermind,\u201d he said on Saturday, calling out Jenner as the mastermind of the entire tape: <\/p>\n<p>\u201cKris, you know you ran the play.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"301\" height=\"535\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Screen-Shot-2022-09-11-at-2-copy.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457939\"\/><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"301\" height=\"535\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457939 lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Screen-Shot-2022-09-11-at-2-copy.jpg\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>Ray J even included portions of a contract he alleges Kim signed in regard to the release of the video, and said they filmed three different versions back in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>One document he showed to followers identified three \u201cdeliverables\u201d titled \u201ctape 1: Cabo intro,\u201d \u201ctape 2: Cabo sex,\u201d and \u201ctape 3: Santa Barbara sex.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe third sex tape, or the second they been trying to play me on, that shit called \u2018Santa Barbara sex,\u2019 her momma made us go shoot it for safety,\u201d Ray J said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe watched the motherf-cker and said hey, \u2018We\u2019re gonna go with the first one \u2019cause the first one is better. It gives my daughter a better look than the second one that I made y\u2019all do.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"669\" height=\"763\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/ray-and-his-kim.png\" alt=\"ray and his kim\" class=\"wp-image-416791\"\/><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"669\" height=\"763\" alt=\"ray and his kim\" class=\"wp-image-416791 lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/ray-and-his-kim.png\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>Ray J went on to say he was paid $400,000 for the sex tape, which Kardashian has consistently claimed was released without her consent.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re pretty sure no one with a single working brain cell believes this.<\/p>\n<p>Either way, however, TMZ now claims to have proof that Kim at least profited handsomely from the video, even if she somehow was not responsible for it being made available for purchase.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/ray-kim-1024x576.webp.webp\" alt=\"Ray-Kim\" class=\"wp-image-416852\"\/><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" alt=\"Ray-Kim\" class=\"wp-image-416852 lazyload\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/ray-kim.webp.webp\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>The aforementioned celebrity gossip website says it has obtained an email from Vivid Entertainment CEO Steve Hirsch dated May 1, 2007.<\/p>\n<p>In this email (below), Hirsch tells Kardashian that her tape made $1,424,636.63 in revenue \u2014 including the majority, $1,255,578.50, coming from DVD sales \u2014 in just its first month of release.<\/p>\n<p>For the record: Kim Kardashian Superstar was released on March 14, 2007. <\/p>\n<p>Kim filed a lawsuit about a month prior against Vivid, claiming she didn\u2019t authorize the release of the tape\u2026 but that lawsuit was dismissed, and likely settled, on April 27, 2007. <\/p>\n<p>Just four days later, Kim got the email from Vivid in regard to these sales numbers.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"858\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Screen-Shot-2022-09-13-at-9.19.20-AM-858x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457941\"\/><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"858\" height=\"1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457941 lazyload\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Screen-Shot-2022-09-13-at-9.19.20-AM.png\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>As part of his diatribe over the weekend, Ray J says the deal was that each would receive $400,000 plus 12.5% of the profits from the video. <\/p>\n<p>Those figures <em>are<\/em> reflected in Hirsch\u2019s email to Kim and Ray J, as posted by TMZ.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIM GOING ON THE BIGGEST RANT OF MY LIFE TONIGHT TO CLEAR MY NAME OF THIS NEGATIVITY AND SHOW YOU HOW THESE PEOPLE ARE F***ING DEVILS,\u201d screamed Ray J on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>He then threatened a lawsuit and added:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTHEN WE CAN BE DONE WITH THIS- IM FIRED UP TONIGHT!!
