The organisers of the annual BET Hip Hop Awards on Monday evening anniunced the list of nominees for the 2022 edition.<\/p>\n

The event hosted by rapper Fat Joe\u00a0will be taped on Friday, September 30, at Atlanta\u2019s Cobb Energy Centre and premiere on Tuesday, October 4.<\/p>\n

Ghana\u2019s Black sherif secured a nomination in the Best International Flow category.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Drake\u00a0takes the lead with 14 nominations while\u00a0Kanye West\u00a0comes in second with 10 nods and\u00a0Kendrick Lamar\u00a0follows closely behind with nine.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Certified Lover Boy\u00a0<\/em>MC is up for Hip Hop Artist of the Year, Hustler of the Year, lyricist of the year, best live performer and hip hop album of the year and has earned multiple nods within the same category.<\/p>\n

His \u201cWay 2 Sexy\u201d collaboration with\u00a0Future\u00a0and\u00a0Young Thug\u00a0as well as his feature on Future\u2019s \u201cWait for You\u201d (also featuring\u00a0Tems) are nominated for best hip hop video, best collaboration and song of the year.<\/p>\n

His cameos on \u201cWait for You\u201d as well as\u00a0Jack Harlow\u2018s \u201cChurchill Downs\u201d have secured Drake two nods in the Sweet 16: best featured verse category, while his and\u00a021 Savage\u2018s \u201cJimmy Cooks\u201d earns Drake a total of three nominations in the best collaboration category.<\/p>\n

Like Drake, Ye earns nods in the hip hop artist of the year, hustler of the year, best live performer, hip hop album of the year, best hip hop video, best collaboration, song of the year and best featured verse categories.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s also up for producer of the year and impact track for \u201cCity of Gods\u201d with\u00a0Fivio Foreign\u00a0and\u00a0Alicia Keys.<\/p>\n

Lamar and\u00a0Baby Keem\u2018s \u201cFamily Ties\u201d is up for best hip hop video, best collaboration and impact track, the latter of which Lamar has another nomination for \u201cThe Heart Part 5.\u201d<\/p>\n

He and Dave Free are also up for video director of the year.<\/p>\n

Future comes in fourth with eight nominations, while Baby Keem,\u00a0Cardi B\u00a0and\u00a0J. Cole\u00a0tie for six nods each.<\/p>\n

Nominees across 17 categories were selected by a voting body of music industry insiders.<\/p>\n
