Ligue 1’s Round 7 is finally in the books and the quest for the “Team of the Week”, here is it as Dango Ouattara and Ignatius Ganago remain the only two African players featured.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Eight different sides saw their players featured, with Burkina Faso and Lorient’s 20-year-old star Dango Ouattara, taking home the Player of the Week award following his stellar displays against FC Nantes.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Another solid goalkeeping performance saw Gianluigi Donnarumma <\/strong>make 3 saves a penalty stop that denied Stade Brestois the equaliser in PSG’s 1-0 win, the 23-year-old Italian was named in the goal post- his third appearance of the season.<\/p>\n

Defenders<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kept clean sheet in high statistical records- 19 clearances, 7 interceptions, 8 tackles and 89% pass accuracy, Toulouse duo- Rasmus<\/strong> Nicolaisen<\/strong> and Anthony Roualt<\/strong> paired RC Lens’s goal scorer Kevin Danso<\/strong> in a back three defensive force.<\/p>\n

Midfielders<\/strong><\/p>\n

Provided 2 brilliant assists in AS Monaco’s 2-1 win against Lyon, Caio Henrique<\/strong> operates from the side of the midfield with teammate Vanderson<\/strong> in the opposite direction.<\/p>\n

Navigating the central midfield – are RC Strasbourg’s Jean-Ricner Bellegarde <\/strong>who recorded the most key passes (5) this week and Lionel Messi- PSG’s knight, <\/strong>who assisted Neymar’s lone goal.<\/p>\n

Emerged player of the week, involved twice in Lorient’s hard-fought victory [a goal and an assist] Dango Ouattara<\/strong> and Nantes’s Ignatius Ganago<\/strong> attack from the wings, while Rennais Martin Terrier<\/strong> leads as the main striker.<\/p>\n
