And while it is slowing down, fundraising is also getting really weird.<\/p>\n<p>By weird, I mean largely unpredictable. According to Kari Harris, an attorney focused on firm fundraising at Mintz, while fundraising remains relatively healthy overall \u2014 GPs still have the upper hand in negotiations with LPs, which, to her, is a good sign \u2014 it\u2019s slowed for many.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have seen an extension in the period of time from launch to initial fund close,\u201d Harris said. \u201cIt\u2019s taking longer for funds to get raised.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>PitchBook data backs up Harris\u2019 statement.
