{"id":1201965,"date":"2022-09-10T18:01:09","date_gmt":"2022-09-10T18:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/09\/10\/new-players-urged-to-honour-call-ups-after-world-cup\/"},"modified":"2022-09-10T18:01:09","modified_gmt":"2022-09-10T18:01:09","slug":"new-players-urged-to-honour-call-ups-after-world-cup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/09\/10\/new-players-urged-to-honour-call-ups-after-world-cup\/","title":{"rendered":"New players urged to honour call ups after World Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\">\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/67589031.jpg\"   alt=\"Ghana new players\" title=\"Ghana new players\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ghana new players<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Asamoah Gyan\u00a0has advised new players who switched nationality to play for the Black Stars to be readily available for national call-ups after the 2022 FIFA World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>The Ghana Football Association [GFA] in June announced that\u00a0Patric Pfeiffer, Ransford-Yeboah K\u00f6nigsd\u00f6rffer, Inaki Williams, Stephan Ambrosius, and Tariq Lamptey were the five players who switched nationality while Mohammed Salisu also committed to play for Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>Some suggested these players decided to represent Ghana because of Ghana\u2019s qualification to the World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the sidelines of the KGL U-17 inter-club champions league launch in Kumasi, the former Black Stars captain, who scored 51 goals for the senior national team, welcomed the players\u2019 decision to play for Ghana.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"444\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/FIwpBxBXMAE7jUb.jpg\" alt=\"Asamoah Gyan\" class=\"wp-image-2065868\"  \/><figcaption><strong>Asamoah Gyan<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cSometimes we should forget about everything.
