\nFormer President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has eulogised the late Queen Elizabeth II, Monarch of the United Kingdom.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nQueen Elizabeth II was confirmed dead at age 96, on Thursday, August 8, 2020 at her Scottish Estate, Balmoral, in the presence of her immediate family.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nIn a post on his Twitter page, Mr Mahama says the Queen carried her royal duties with grace and dignity.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\u201cSad to hear the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. She carried her royal duties with grace, poise & dignity. An icon of pride not only to the British people but the Commonwealth.\u00a0<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\u201cOur hearts go out to King Charles III and the Royal Family. May God grant her peaceful repose\u201d, he tweeted.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nDuring her reign the Queen met with many world leaders from across the globe five Ghanaian former presidents.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nFormer President Mahama is the last Ghana President to meet and shake hands with the Queen after she invited him to her Buckingham Palace in 2014.\u00a0<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nThe then President John Dramani Mahama was in the of his wife Lordina Mahama. John Dramani Mahama presented her with a copy of his book, \u201dMy first Coup d’etat\u201d.\u00a0<\/span>\n<\/p>\n
