{"id":1200742,"date":"2022-09-08T13:31:58","date_gmt":"2022-09-08T13:31:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/09\/08\/nhyira-wins-miss-tourism-ghana\/"},"modified":"2022-09-08T13:31:58","modified_gmt":"2022-09-08T13:31:58","slug":"nhyira-wins-miss-tourism-ghana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/09\/08\/nhyira-wins-miss-tourism-ghana\/","title":{"rendered":"Nhyira Wins Miss Tourism Ghana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A 21-Year-Old third-year Public Relations student of the Ghana Institute of Journalism,\u00a0Christabel Nhyira Agyepong,\u00a0has been crowned Miss Tourism Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>The event, which took place last Friday at the National Theatre, was attended by Ghana Tourism Authority boss, Akwesi Agyemang, traditional leaders and some Members of Parliament among others.<\/p>\n<p>Closely behind the queen was 23-year-old\u00a0Wendy Mwinsun Wanye,\u00a0Textile Design Technology\u00a0graduate\u00a0of Sunyani Technical University, from\u00a0the\u00a0Upper\u00a0West Region of Ghana,\u00a0who\u00a0was adjudged the first runner-up.<\/p>\n<p>Oti Region\u2019s contestant Yaa Boatemaa Abbey, a graduate of\u00a0Agricultural Technology\u00a0who specialised\u00a0in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology\u00a0at the University of Development Studies, UDS, took home the second runner-up position.<\/p>\n<p>The three beat thirteen (13) other contestants in the grand finale to win their respective positions.<\/p>\n<p>They expressed their appreciation to the organisers for putting together such a show to grow interest in tourism.<\/p>\n<p>They also pledged their resolve to help the country\u2019s agenda in promoting Ghana locally and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>The founder of the scheme, Mrs. Delphine Brew-Hammond, expressed her appreciation to all sponsors and people who played crucial roles to make the event successful.<\/p>\n<p>She commended the winners and other contestants for their dedication to promoting Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- AI CONTENT END 2 -->\n\t<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 21-Year-Old third-year Public Relations student of the Ghana Institute of Journalism,\u00a0Christabel Nhyira Agyepong,\u00a0has been crowned Miss Tourism Ghana.
