For the most part, they are just living their lives.<\/p>\n<p>It was Sumit\u2019s mom who can\u2019t stand to see it happen. She brought the drama and the tears.<\/p>\n<p>She had a temper tantrum and a wailing meltdown, disowned her son, and even <em>disinvited him from her funeral<\/em>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript\/><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-456654 lazyload\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/0829_jennyslatten_12.png\" loading=\"lazy\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>Sumit Singh and Jenny Slatten broke the news during last week\u2019s episode.<\/p>\n<p>The two of them are married.<\/p>\n<p>Sahna\u2019s shock and dismay quickly turned to anger and rage, which she aimed at her son.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0904_jennyslatten_01-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457196\"\/><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457196 lazyload\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0904_jennyslatten_01.png\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>Sumit reminded his mother, who seemed to act as if this relationship were some recent impulse, that this was a decade in progress.<\/p>\n<p>Cameras likely recorded this scene in the final months of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Jenny deflowered Sumit in 2013 or 2014. Their relationship had begun before that.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0904_jennyslatten_02-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457197\"\/><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457197 lazyload\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0904_jennyslatten_02.png\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>In between bouts of tears and blubbering, Sahna lashed out at Sumit while other relatives remained uncomfortably quiet.<\/p>\n<p>She told him that she did not want to see his face and that he is not welcome at her home.<\/p>\n<p>Sahna also told him that he is not her son, and that she does not want him to attend any family gatherings.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0906_sahnasingh_01-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457240\"\/><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457240 lazyload\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0906_sahnasingh_01.png\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>This is not merely a lifetime ban, Sahna explained.<\/p>\n<p>She does not want Sumit at her own funeral. She does not want him at Anil\u2019s funeral when he dies, either.<\/p>\n<p>That is harsh. Less enforceable than a lot of the other stuff, but cruel. She intended for it to be cruel. Sahna wanted to hurt her son, and she succeeded.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0904_jennyslatten_03-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457198\"\/><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457198 lazyload\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0904_jennyslatten_03.png\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>Sumit is, to an unhealthy extent, attached to his parents and needy for their approval.<\/p>\n<p>He largely chalks this up to cultural factors. Certainly, India emphasizes strong familial bonds and deference towards one\u2019s parents.<\/p>\n<p>But the same can be said of <em>every culture<\/em>. At this point, some of Sumit\u2019s attachment to his parents seems personal. And it\u2019s killing him.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0904_jennyslatten_04-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457199\"\/><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457199 lazyload\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0904_jennyslatten_04.png\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>Sumit\u2019s parents are not the only toxic members of the family.<\/p>\n<p>Shree and Amit were also unhappy, and demanded to know why he hadn\u2019t already told his parents.<\/p>\n<p>Even after hearing the cruel things that she said to Sumit, their only apparent concern was for her feelings.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.thehollywoodgossip.com\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0906-Jenny-Slatten-and-Sumit-Singh-TRIM-COMPRESS.mp4\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>You can see for yourself part of the fit that Sahna pitched.<\/p>\n<p>While we can all understand the tantrum thanks to subtitles, Jenny was not so fortunate.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, though the emotional outburts were not exactly enigmatic, Jenny felt largely left in the dark.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0904_jennyslatten_05-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457200\"\/><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457200 lazyload\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0904_jennyslatten_05.png\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>When Sumit followed his mother out of the house (to no avail), Jenny feared the worst.<\/p>\n<p>Her concern was that her husband was putting his family first \u2014 including their demands and their emotional needs.<\/p>\n<p>It is not an unreasonable assumption on her part. That happened in the past.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0904_jennyslatten_06-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457201\"\/><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457201 lazyload\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0904_jennyslatten_06.png\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>Outside, Sumit was having no luck with his parents.<\/p>\n<p>He hugged his mother, but she stood there without returning the hug, eager to leave.<\/p>\n<p>While it would be best for Sumit if he simply goes no-contact with his parents \u2026 it is unclear if that is their endgame.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/gp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0904_jennyslatten_07-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457202\"\/><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-457202 lazyload\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/0904_jennyslatten_07.png\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>When he returned, a very distraught Jenny confronted Sumit.<\/p>\n<p>Her palpable fears that he would abandon her the moment that his parents gave him an ultimatum drove her to yell and cry.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, unlike Sahna, Jenny was willing to listen to Sumit.
