Yungblud\u2019s next album is synth-heavy.<\/p>\n
The \u201cFuneral\u201d rocker is already working on his fourth record, the follow-up to last week\u2019s self-titled LP, and it\u2019s influenced by synth pioneers Joy Division and post-punk icons The Smiths.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper\u2019s WIRED column, Yungblud \u2013 whose real name is Dom Harrison \u2013 said: \u201cI\u2019ve already started on album four which has a lot more synths, it\u2019s very Joy Division with a bit of The Smiths, definitely more in that direction.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s where I\u2019m going because album four is very much with ambition to headline festivals all over the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old musician\u2019s latest LP is deeply personal, hence being named \u201cYUNGBLUD\u201d.<\/p>\n
He explained: \u201cIn the past my music has been an uncensored representation of the f****** world and what I believe about the world, even if I disagree with myself later.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s always about that person\u2019s story, sexuality, politics, Brexit etc.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis album is very much about the \u2018I\u2019. \u2018I think I\u2019m going mad.\u2019 \u2018I\u2019ve been dancing at the funeral.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd it\u2019s allowing people to put those words in their mouths.\u201d<\/p>\n
The \u201cFleabag\u201d star \u2013 who is set to play three legendary Los Angeles venues in one night on September 8 for the \u201cYUNGBLUD: Occupy The Strip\u201d event \u2013 recently insisted he wished not to be \u201cdefined\u201d as he compared himself to the likes of the late, great David Bowie and Lady Gaga.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cI\u2019ve heard, \u2018Yungblud\u2019s saving rock music, Yungblud is a punk and Yungblud is a queer icon\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, I\u2019m not. I\u2019m just f****** me. Like David Bowie and Lady Gaga, I can\u2019t be defined. Yungblud is about freedom and I am finally free after making this album.\u201d<\/p>\n
