NPP&#8217;s Lawyer Akoto Ampaw Joined Protestors Seeking Fair Accountability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<article>\n<p>Representatives of civil society groups have hit the streets of Accra as they pile pressure on Auditor-General, Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu to exercise his powers of surcharge and disallowance.<\/p>\n<p>The CSOs accuse him of blatantly refusing to use his surcharge powers since 2019, even after appeals and petitions by sections of the society for him to do so.<\/p>\n<p>One personality that joined in this national agenda was a partner of Akufo-Addo\u2019s law firm, Akufo-Addo, Prempeh and Co. <\/p>\n<p>He brilliantly served as\u00a0head of the legal team that defended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo\u2019s victory in the 2020 presidential elections at the Supreme Court of Ghana against the John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress [NDC]. <\/p>\n<p>Lawyer Ampaw has an impeccable legacy in the legal fraternity especially championing human rights campaigns and fair justice.<\/p>\n<p>Today technically, his government is in power but he&#8217;s demonstrating reforms.
