A Lecturer at the University of Ghana, Professor Ransford Gyampo has asserted that, President Akufo-Addo is giving an unfair advantage to Eugene Arhin knowing very well that Parliamentary Primaries for the area hasn\u2019t been held.<\/p>\n

In a post shared on his official Facebook page, on Saturday, 3rd September 2022, Prof wrote that he has just watched the video posted below this piece and he is not too happy with the unnecessary attempt by Akufo-Addo to give unfair advantage to one of his appointees over the others in the same Political Party in a Parliamentary Primary contest that is yet to be organized.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Respectfully, Mr President, I cannot mince words. I think you are being lawless, I am sorry to put it bluntly. You were part of your Party\u2019s National Executive Committee Meeting that approved the Party\u2019s Code of Conduct.\u00a0<\/p>\n

You are giving unfair advantage to Eugene Arhin, knowing very well that Parliamentary Primaries for the area hasn\u2019t been held.” Prof added.<\/p>\n

He argued that President Akufo-Addo must not read everything written for you. He added that Akufo-Addo’s speech makers always have their own agenda too and he expect the President to be able to read in between the lines, to know whose interest is being served by the kind of things that are sometimes written for you to read.<\/p>\n

“I expect Justine Frimpong Kodua, the General Secretary of the Party to muster the testicular fortitude as a man who believes in fairness to summon you before your Party\u2019s Complaint Committee. He did this to Hopeson Adorye and Assifua. No one is above the law and the application of the law must not be selective.”<\/p>\n

Prof Gyampo called on Justin Kodua to intervene.<\/p>\n

“We knew John Boadu could not do this and that\u2019s why we all worked behind the scenes towards your election. I know the pressures from high places that came on you to abandon your ambition to become the Party\u2019s General Secretary.<\/p>\n

You stood your grounds as a man, damning the powerful voices against your ambition and you won. Following your victory, many have have grown to believe that you are your own man. Kindly act on this lawlessness shown by our President. He concluded.<\/p>\n
