The prize money for the 2022\/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League, (BGPL), has been announced with the eventual winner set to receive Ghc 300,000 for their troubles.<\/p>\n

Asante Kotoko won last season’s championship by a distance, and they will look to make a successful defence of the title.<\/p>\n

As announced by the Ghana Football Association, (GFA), the second placed team after the season will take home Ghc 200,000 with the third placed side going home with a Ghc 80,000 reward.<\/p>\n

Online sports betting firm betPawa, are the headline sponsors for the upcoming season having struck a deal with the GFA for a three-year contract.<\/p>\n

The new season will begin next week Friday with 17 clubs seeking to wrestle the title away from Asante Kotoko who were deserved winners last season.<\/p>\n

Each of the 18 teams will play 34 matches on a home and away basis to determine which side wins the title and the three teams to be relegated.<\/p>\n

Four clubs, Nsoatreman FC, Tamale City FC, FC Samartex and Kotoku Royals, will be making their top-flight debut in the coming campaign.<\/p>\n
