The University of Ghana also has 374 of its programmes unaccredited.<\/p>\n<p>This has cast doubt on the worthiness of the certificates they issue to persons who participate in such programmes.<\/p>\n<p>The Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020 indicates that no tertiary education institutions shall \u201coperate<br \/>or run a programme without accreditation by the Board.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"573\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Gordon-Awandare-1024x573.jpg\" alt=\"Some UG programmes accreditation at various stages of renewal - Prof Awandare\" class=\"wp-image-10032164310\"   title=\"Some UG programmes accreditation at various stages of renewal - Prof Awandare\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>Expressing the school\u2019s effort in this regard, he revealed that an Accreditation desk has been created at the office of the registrar to accelerate the move.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr Norris Bekoe wants GTEC to decentralise and digitalise its accreditation process.<\/p>\n<p>                <!-- Post Tags --><\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Ghana has responded to claims that some of its programmes offered have expired.
