Kate Moss\u2019s wild lifestyle left her adrenal glands and nervous system \u201cf*****\u201d.<\/p>\n
The 48-year-old supermodel was once known for her partying ways but has now been sober for some time, and revealed she used the self-help tome the \u201cBig Book\u201d \u2013 which chronicles the famous 12-step recovery programme \u2013 to \u201cfix\u201d herself and examine her own \u201cshortcomings\u201d.<\/p>\n
She told Britain\u2019s Vogue magazine: \u201cI learnt to look at myself, at my shortcomings and truthfully at who I am. And not be afraid. I started meditating every day, doing transcendental meditation, wild swimming\u2026 I tried everything (new).\u201d <\/p>\n
Moss \u2013 who has 19-year-old daughter Lila with former partner Jefferson Hack \u2013 loves to retreat to her garden when she\u2019s feeling tired.<\/p>\n
She explained: \u201cI come here and lie on the grass and burn frankincense. I listen to music and have a moment of peace. It\u2019s so peaceful. This is where I come to get grounded.\u201d<\/p>\n
Moss began her modelling career when she was just 14-years old and she is \u201chorrified\u201d about what was deemed \u201cacceptable\u201d in the fashion industry in those days.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cWhen I think back to what I was doing at that age, I am horrified at what was acceptable back then. People wouldn\u2019t believe it.\u201d <\/p>\n
Her own experiences led to her setting up the Kate Moss Agency \u2013 which represents the likes of Stella Maxwell, Georgia Palmer and her own daughter \u2013 and her biggest priority is making sure her young models are well looked after.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cMy primary concern is that the kids are taken care of \u2013 and if they\u2019re not, I get really p***** off .\u201d<\/p>\n
And Moss is much happier being in charge of her own career.<\/p>\n
She explained: \u201cBecause I can say no. \u2018No, that\u2019s not right. I want more. No, I think you\u2019re underselling me. No, that\u2019s not correct\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Cosmoss founder is proud Lila is doing well in the fashion industry as an \u201cindependent woman\u201d.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cI think she\u2019s on her own journey, and has found herself.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe told me about the Steven Meisel cover shoot for British Vogue and said, \u2018Mummy, it was the best day of my life.\u2019 She felt like an independent woman doing her own job. She got there on her own. She felt that she had arrived in her own body.\u201d<\/p>\n
