Sensational vocalist, Abiana is expected to release a new single titled Shika<\/em>, on Friday, September 2.<\/p>\n Shika<\/em> is a Ga word, translated literally in English as \u2018money.\u2019 Making the announcement via a tweet, she wrote \u201cI will be sharing #shika on September 2, 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n Shika<\/em>, according to the singer, depicts the struggles of life with money being at the centre of attraction. The main idea behind the song, she noted, is hard work (No\u00a0Pain No Gain).<\/p>\n Abiana used her vocal prowess and carefully crafted words to weave the song beautifully.<\/p>\n \u201cMoney (Shika<\/em>) is essential in our daily lives, majority of our toils is to gain money to solve our various problems, we are therefore releasing a chunk of what we have to address these needs of various people in our society and beyond,\u201d the vocalist said.<\/p>\n The new single will be released alongside a brand-new video shot by Prince Dovlo.<\/p>\n About Abiana<\/strong><\/p>\n Born Eldah Naa Abiana Dickson, the singer made a pronounced entry into the music industry with the release of \u2018Adunlei<\/em>\u2019. <\/p>\n Since the release of the song, she has performed at the maiden edition of the Entertainment Achievement Awards, Vodafone Music Awards, the 2021 President\u2019s Inaugural Dinner, the much talked about performance with the Blacklace Band at the 70th birthday party for Ghana\u2019s First lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, among others.<\/p>\n In 2013, she joined the Afro Harmony Band as a backing vocalist and later in 2014, the High Skuul band as a lead singer before launching her music career as a solo artiste in 2020.<\/p>\n She won the Best Vocal Performance award at the 2021 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.<\/p>\n Abiana holds a BSc in Marketing from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) also loves to play the guitar.<\/p>\n She has songs like \u2018Adunlei\u2019, \u2018Bo N\u0254\u014b\u014b Ni\u2019 among others.<\/p>\n <\/p><\/div>\n
