I am concerned like any other  citizen of this country that our resources are being poorly managed and I think it is better we find a way to stop this as soon as possible,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In this regard, he indicated that the new resolve from Parliament \u201cto focus on this to ensure that the processes for accountability are effected is pleasing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am happy that at least according to Mr. Murtala Mohammed, new efforts are being made to ensure that all the way to the Attorney-General, he is requesting as to why they are not taking the necessary steps to ensure people account for their stewardship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prof Agyemang-Duah noted that the political and bureaucratic elites in the country \u201cseem to believe that they are entitled to kind of a privileged-living in this country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This, he explained makes them shirk their responsibilities for effective supervision and holding their colleagues accountable.<\/p>\n<p>                <!-- Post Tags --><\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former Senior UN Governance Advisor, Prof. Baffour Agyemang-Duah has bemoaned the financial and administrative irregularities happening in the public service.
