It may be the worst kept secret on reality television:<\/p>\n
Robyn Brown is especially tight with Christine Brown.<\/p>\n
Heck, it\u2019s not even a secret anymore, as Christine just came out this week and said the following to People Magazine:<\/p>\n
\u201c\u201cI hadn\u2019t been that close to Robyn, I hadn\u2019t been that close to Meri, for years.\u201d<\/p>\nRobyn Brown looks a little irritated in this confessional from Season 17 of the hit show Sister Wives.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nChristine went on to say in this interview that she\u2019s scarcely talked to Robyn since early November\u2026 when she made the decision to leave her spiritual husband, Kody Brown.<\/p>\n
That was back then, though.<\/p>\n
Right now, fans are preparing for the Sister Wives Season 17 premiere, which will air on Sunday, September 11 at 10\/9c.<\/p>\n
The episode was filmed many months ago, and Us Weekly has uploaded a sneak peek at all the discussions that surrounded Christine\u2019s choice to walk away back then.<\/p>\n\u201cI don\u2019t understand anything,\u201d Kody says to Robyn in this footage, confused over why Christine wants to move to Utah.<\/p>\n
In a surprise response, Robyn \u2014 who is Kody\u2019s only legal<\/em> spouse and who is, by all accounts, also his favorite<\/em> spouse \u2014 actually stands up for Christine.<\/p>\n\u201cSometimes you just can\u2019t sleep in the same bed with your spouse because you\u2019re struggling. Maybe she just needs a break,\u201d Robyn says in a confessional, adding of Kody: <\/p>\n
\u201cHe doesn\u2019t need to not be there. In fact, it should be the other way around. He should be there, present.\u201d<\/p>\nIt\u2019s been well-documented just how challenging of a time Christine and Kody were having last year.<\/p>\n
In another scene from the upcoming premiere, the pair clash over their sex life, with Christine clapping back at Kody over his refusal to sleep with her again \u2014 and with Kody claiming he never actually said this.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Robyn and then to the camera on Season 17, Kody scoffs at the notion that he should give in to Christine in any way, shape or form. <\/p>\n
The guy isn\u2019t exactly empathetic.<\/p>\nChristine Brown and Kody Brown are no more. These are official TLC-sponsored images of the stars.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u201cI don\u2019t want to be sexist here, but why does a guy have to sleep on the couch? It\u2019s his room too,\u201d the Brown family patriarch explains to the cameras. <\/p>\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s the point of staying the night there? <\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s the walk of shame. I\u2019m not going to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kody being a self-centered jerk should come as no surprise to anyone who has watched almost any episode of Sister Wives.<\/p>\nThis photo sums everything up for Christine Brown, doesn\u2019t it? She looks quite exasperated by Kody.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nBut Robyn\u2019s stance on this situation most definitely took us aback.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel like there\u2019s an unfairness in plural marriage,\u201d she admits on the premiere. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s going to somebody else\u2019s house. She doesn\u2019t have somebody else.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the clip, Robyn flat-out says that Kody should spend more nights with Christine in order to be fix their problems and be a flexible, understanding partner.<\/p>\n\u201cI hate the idea, because first of all, it gives Christine power over where I sleep,\u201d he says during a confessional.<\/p>\n
Kody goes on to allege that he\u2019s \u201cdone this\u201d before, claiming that both his second wife, Janelle Brown, and Robyn have \u201ctried kicking me out\u201d in the past. <\/p>\n
He noted that his first wife, Meri Brown, did it \u201call the time\u201d and he seems it all as some sort of power play.<\/p>\n
How dare Kody not be in charge at all times?!? How dare anyone challenge his status as an emotional bully?!?<\/p>\nKody Brown sits down here and talks about his life as a polygamous in the final part of the Season 16 reunion special.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u201cThat\u2019s a game. I don\u2019t want to play that game,\u201d Kody states on the impending premiere. \u201cI\u2019m not going to play that game.\u201d<\/p>\n
Some might call it a game, we guess.<\/p>\n
