(Photo by David Price\/Arsenal FC via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>Image credit: Getty Images<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is not hopeful injured Thomas Partey will feature against Aston Villa on Wednesday night and has suggested the midfielder could miss Sunday\u2019s clash against Manchester United.<\/p>\n<p>The Ghana international missed Saturday\u2019s win against Fulham with a thigh issue and he has been sent for scans to reveal the full scale of the issue.<\/p>\n<p>However, they have proved inconclusive, with Arteta saying he needs further scans to identify the true scale of the problem.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>The Gunners maintained their 100% start to the season without the former Atletico Madrid ace on Saturday and it looks as though they\u2019ll be without him again as Steven Gerrard\u2019s side visit the Emirates tomorrow night.<\/p>\n<p>Arteta says it\u2019s unlikely that Partey will return and has suggested he could miss Sunday\u2019s trip to Old Trafford too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ ALSO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2018I don\u2019t think so,\u2019 Arteta said when asked if any of his injured players would return.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We still have to make another scan, especially on Thomas (Partey), but I don\u2019t think they will be available.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Let\u2019s see [whether they are long or short-term].
