{"id":1194971,"date":"2022-08-30T17:12:19","date_gmt":"2022-08-30T17:12:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/08\/30\/ndc-outlines-punishment-for-members-who-campaigned-for-skirt-and-blouse-in-2020-elections\/"},"modified":"2022-08-30T17:12:19","modified_gmt":"2022-08-30T17:12:19","slug":"ndc-outlines-punishment-for-members-who-campaigned-for-skirt-and-blouse-in-2020-elections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/08\/30\/ndc-outlines-punishment-for-members-who-campaigned-for-skirt-and-blouse-in-2020-elections\/","title":{"rendered":"NDC outlines punishment for members who campaigned for &#8216;skirt and blouse&#8217; in 2020 elections"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\">\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/audio-ade-coker-wants-fmr-mahama-appointee-suspended-over-attacks-on-ex-president.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"Audio: Ade Coker wants fmr Mahama appointee suspended over attacks on ex-president\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Joseph Ade Coker, NDC Greater Accra Regional Chairman<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Greater Accra Regional Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ade Coker, has disclosed that members who embarked on \u2018skirt and blouse\u201d campaign in the 2020 General Election, cannot contest for a position in the party.<\/p>\n<p>The Regional Chairman on Adom FM\u2019s <strong>Burning Issues <\/strong>stated categorically that, the punishment for embarking on \u201cskirt and blouse\u201d campaign is a total dismissal from party positions.<\/p>\n<p>This is coming at a time when the NDC has commenced branch elections nationwide.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>Mr Coker added that the party has created avenue for its members to make their complaints and air grievances over unfair treatment, therefore, any member who engages the court rather than approved means will also face same punishment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome of the candidates have been disqualified because they did the skirt and blouse campaign. The consequences of them engaging in such campaign is a complete dismissal and if you want to be part of the party\u2019s activities you would have to join the queue again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo if you are being disqualified for a reason, you just have to be patient for an investigation to be carried out and if you go to court without exhausting the provided means of solving your issue, you are out of the party.
