With barely two weeks to the start of the 2022\/23 Ghana Premier League, GPL campaign, the clubs have intensified their pre-season rituals to be in shape for the competition.<\/p>\n

The 18 clubs have been engaging in friendly matches against quality opposition to build up for the season ahead.<\/p>\n

Here’s a selection of some of the matches played recently.<\/p>\n

Bibiani Gold Stars<\/p>\n

The Miners have won their last two friendlies as they build for the campaign ahead.<\/p>\n

Gold Stars beat former Elite Division campaigners Elmina Sharks 1-0 on Wednesday at Elmina and, had earlier beaten Central regional second division sides Ajax FC and AY United 2-0 respectively to remain unbeaten in their pre-season games.<\/p>\n

Gold Stars will next play fellow top-flight campaigners King Faisal Babes later today, (Saturday) at Mankessim.<\/p>\n

King Faisal Babes<\/p>\n

The Kumasi-based club have been in camp in the Central region for two weeks now, and they have been engaging in some matches.<\/p>\n

King Faisal beat Kenpong Academy 3-2 at Mankessim with former Accra Hearts of Oak striker Abednego Tetteh on target for his new club.<\/p>\n

They will round up their preparations in the Central region with a game today against Bibiani Gold Stars also in Mankessim.<\/p>\n

Accra Hearts of Oak<\/p>\n

The Phobians have so far played three friendly matches the latest of which was against DOL Zone Three side Uncle T United which ended 1-1 in Accra on Friday.<\/p>\n

They are due to play a couple more games next week to round up their preparations for the new season.<\/p>\n

Dreams FC<\/p>\n

The Dawu-based side played two matches on Saturday morning at the Astro Turf at East Legon in Accra.<\/p>\n

In the first game, Dreams FC drew goalless with DOL Zone Three side Tudu Mighty Jets before beating Division Two side Panthers FC 3-1 in the second game.<\/p>\n

The rest of the opposition are all being busy with the start of the new campaign set to kick-off on Friday, September 9, 2022.<\/p>\n
