No government has spent this much before,\u201d he told host JoyNews\u2019 Raymond Acquah.<\/p>\n<p>Breaking it down, Dr Forson said 90 per cent of the money went into the purchase of vehicles.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"300\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"no\" allow=\"autoplay\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/1331674036&#038;color=%23ff5500&#038;auto_play=false&#038;hide_related=false&#038;show_comments=true&#038;show_user=true&#038;show_reposts=false&#038;show_teaser=true&#038;visual=true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has refuted claims that mismanagement by his administration cannot be blamed for the current challenges facing the economy.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the country\u2019s financial situation is occasioned by the current global crisis.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that economies around have not been spared as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn fact, the big difference that we are having in Ghana today and why we have gone back to the IMF is that everybody recognises it is not as a result of my mismanagement, as was the case during the tenure of the previous government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe reality is that there is global inflation, high commodity prices, among others, and all these have been the principal reasons for the difficulties we are having as a country,\u201d he said on Damango-based Pad FM in the Savannah Region.<\/p>\n<p>                <!-- Post Tags --><\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It has emerged that the office of the Chief of Staff spent in excess of \u00a2240 million on goods and services for the year 2020 alone.
