Musician Camidoh says his banging tune \u2018Sugarcane\u2019 is undoubtedly his biggest hit song, but not his best.<\/p>\n
In an interview on the \u2018Xclusives\u2019 show on JoyPrime, the singer explained that he invests a lot of time and craft in creating all his songs, and as such, can\u2019t tip one as his best over the others.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The \u2018For My Lover\u2019 crooner said \u201cclearly, Sugarcane is my biggest hit yet. If you check the numbers, the consumption rate, yeah, it is my biggest hit but not my best song.\u201d<\/p>\n
Camidoh noted that \u201call my songs are 100%. I carefully create my music taking into consideration the production, lyrics, everything is 100% so I\u2019ll never say that this song is better than the other.\u201d<\/p>\n
The singer said that Sugarcane became the success it is today because he and his team put together some strategic plans to ensure it got to a wider audience.<\/p>\n
Among other things, Camidoh said they also paid influencers to create content with the song on various social media platforms\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was deliberate of me and the team to engage influencers to create content with Sugarcane to market it. It\u2019s work, so if you need work done, you\u2019ve got to pay,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
Following the success of the song, Camidoh landed a collaboration with colleague King Promise and Nigeria\u2019s Mayorkun which spun a remix.<\/p>\n
Unlike some remixes of popular songs that have failed to impress music lovers, Sugarcane Remix was a commercial success like its predecessor.\u00a0<\/p>\n
