The lyrics of late Reggae star Lucky Dube in his song is “stand for the truth, stand-alone” and in this country, people have now come to realize the Biblical hatred and trouble you get into, when you stand to speak the truth.<\/p>\n
Akwasi Addai a politician, affectionately called ‘Odike’ called out chiefs in the Ashanti region whom he believes are complicit with the activities of illegal miners referred to as ‘Galamsey’ in the local parlance. <\/p>\n
He charged them to come out and deny if they don’t know anything about the illicit act which is destroying water bodies and forest reserves.<\/p>\n
Fast forward, a senior broadcaster Kwasi Kyei Darkwah alias KKD who has been vociferous these past weeks has waded into the whole issue and admitted that the politician was truthful in his assertions and that is what is required of a person seeking to lead. However, he vehemently disagrees with the medium of his communication.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Speaking this morning On Joynews Tv program dubbed ‘AM Show’, the host Benjamin Akakpo asked numerous questions which the gentleman who had worn a black cloth with beads around his arm answered perfectly.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As a royal himself who knows the pros and cons of offending traditional authorities, he emphatically postulated that Odike was wrong with his approach. Any Akan who knows the intricacies of culture would attest to the fact that he goofed.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He continued by saying Odike didn’t use the right method. The way he speaks to politicians, won’t be the same way to speak with his father. Politicians are servants of the masses, however, your father is your leader whom you can’t address anyhow even if he has done something wrong.<\/p>\n
“Odike couldn’t talk to his village chief like that, how much more Otumfuor,” he surmised<\/p>\n
