The special monitoring team of the National Intelligence Bureau, on 08\/10\/2021, intercepted and arrested two (2) cargo trucks at DZORWULU traffic Light, near Fiesta Royale Hotel in Accra, on suspicion of under-declaration and misdescription of goods.<\/p>\n<p>Excerpts from a letter by National Security dated 21st October 2021 reads;<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; It was revealed after the re-examination, that a substantial number of goods in the trucks were undeclared and thus, no duties were paid on same. Kindly find attached the list of declared and undeclared goods in the trucks.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/f9945a46259c4f01a6f1867606fd3c94\"\/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It needs stating that, during the interception, the traders were discourteous towards the arresting officers, with one of them allegedly placing a call to Col. DAMOAH, Commissioner of CD-GRA. Subsequently, AGBAWU received a call from one Kojo BONSU, Staff Officer to the Commissioner, instructing him to release the trucks unconditionally.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reactions From Some Ghanaians<\/strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/359da719b7eb438185ecca1c577a74fa\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Pharmacist and CDD-Ghana Fellow, Kwame Sarpong Asiedu\u00a0reacted to the leaked documents this way; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I hope this letter is photoshopped. If not, I can&#8217;t help but ask, why is Col. Damoah still at post? Is it not implied in this letter that the State had enough on him long before the OSP started\u00a0their investigation? If so why did the\u00a0State not act? Does the Col. hold something on some powerful people? Think through these things.
