But it looks like it will be hard to get Antony from Ajax. mostly because they wanted a lot of money. In the end, they don’t want to lose the tricky winger, especially since they’ve already lost a number of important players this summer<\/p>\n

Even though everyone agreed that a deal for Antony wasn’t possible, United kept trying. The most recent part of the story was told by O Globo, with a little help from @utdreport for the translation.<\/p>\n

It looks like United and the player have agreed on a number of things, such as personal terms, the length of the contract, and other things.<\/p>\n

Now, it’s hard to figure out a price with Ajax.<\/p>\n

In order to make the deal happen, it looks like United will offer the Dutch club \u00a380 million (\u20ac94 million).<\/p>\n

It’s clear that’s a huge amount of money. Most likely, United is spending too much money on Antony. But because of how things are now, the club has no choice but to do that.<\/p>\n

Still, will Ajax take this deal? Who can say…? They probably won’t get another offer this high for Antony, so they’ll definitely think about it. I guess it all depends on whether they think they can replace the Brazilian successfully before the window closes.<\/p>\n

Also, Antony seems ready to help. He didn’t work out over the weekend, so Ajax left him off the roster for their 1-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday.<\/p>\n
