Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as NAM1 is a Ghanaian business who is most remembered for Menzgold. Customers who patronized his were later scammed of their monies. Nana has promised to make certain payemnts to the customers who want their monies back. Currently, the case is in court but no progress has been made yet. <\/p>\n

In a latest development, the prosecution team have said that they intend to drop the 14 charges against Nana because of insufficient evidence. Many are however finding difficulty as to why the charges are not enough to put him behind bars. On Joy News\u2019 Newsfile today, Saturday, August 20, 2022, Samson Anyenini asked Martin Kpebu about his reaction to the NAM1 case.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe shouldn\u2019t be free by now. He took people\u2019s gold and didn\u2019t have any license to operate. Where is the gold? Let us not get too much legal. The law is also common sense. I don\u2019t see why you can go to court and there is a written document and then you say charges cannot stay.\u201d Martin Kpebu said.<\/p>\n

According to the private legal practitioner, there is no way that Nana Appiah should be free by now and called for the prosecution too continue with the case. Even though John Kumah, a deputy Finance Minister and Edudzi Tamakloe insisted that it is up to the prosecution team to decide what to happen. <\/p>\n

Martin Kpebu stated that there is so much evidence to nail the former Menzgold CEO. He lambasted Maame Tiwaa Addo Danquah for coming out to say that the police intend to drop the charges for lack of evidence. This is not the first time Martin is making certain controversial comments. Martin may be right to say there is no much evidence. However, from the look of things the case might be withdrawn from court seeing there the prosecution say there is insufficient evidence.<\/p>\n
