By Ken Hissner:<\/strong> The Pandemic has postponed a lot of world title matches, but who has risen above that and been the most active of all the world champions?<\/p>\n Among the heavyweight champions, Tyson \u201cThe Gypsy King\u201d has one match, while Oleksandr Usyk is having his first this weekend in the Anthony \u201cAJ\u201d Joshua rematch.<\/p>\n Among the cruiserweight, WBC champion Ilunga Junior Makabu, IBF champion Jai Opetaia and Lawrence \u201cThe Sauce\u201d Okolie have each made one defense.<\/p>\n Among the light heavyweights, WBA champion Dmitrii Bivol and WBC, WBO, and IBF champion Artur Beterbiev have each made one defense.<\/p>\n Super Middleweight champion Saul \u201cCanelo\u201d Alvarez has had one fight and one scheduled in September.<\/p>\n IBF and WBA Middleweight champion Gennadiy \u201cGGG\u201d Golovkin has made a unified win and finally, the long-awaited rematch in September with Saul \u201cCanelo\u201d Alvarez.<\/p>\n WBC champion Jermall \u201cHit Man\u201d Charlo hasn\u2019t fought in over a year. WBO champion Demetrius \u201cBoo Boo\u201d Andrade last defense was in November of 2021. Both talk about moving up in weight but no activity.<\/p>\n WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBF Super Welterweight champion Jermell \u201cIron Man\u201d Charlo made one defense.<\/p>\n IBF, WBA, and WBC Welterweight champion Errol \u201cThe Truth\u201d Spence, Jr. made one defense and hopefully will be in a unification match with WBO champion Terence \u201cBud\u201d Crawford this fall whole he hasn\u2019t fought since November of 2021.<\/p>\n IBF and WBO Super Lightweight champion Josh \u201cThe Tartan Tornado\u201d Taylor gave up the WBC and WBA titles after defending all four in his one match and is looking for a rematch with Jack \u2018El Gato\u2019 Catterall, whom he defeated in that one.<\/p>\n WBC Lightweight champion Devin \u201cThe Dream\u201d Haney added the WBA, WBO, and IBF titles by defeating George \u201cFerocious\u201d Kambosos, Jr. in June and is scheduled for their rematch in October.<\/p>\n WBA Lightweight champion Gervonta \u201cTank\u201d Davis defended his piece of the WBA title once this year.<\/p>\n WBA Super Featherweight champion Roger \u201cThe Kid\u201d Gutierrez will be in his first fight this year, defending his title this weekend against Hector \u201cEl Androide\u201d Luis Garcia.<\/p>\n WBC and WBO Super Featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson will be having his second defense this year in September against 3-time Olympian Robson \u201cNino\u201d Conceicao.<\/p>\n IBF Super Featherweight champion Joe Cordina won the title in June, defeating Kenichi Ogawa in his lone fight.<\/p>\n WBC Featherweight champion Rey Vargas won the title in July in his lone bout of the year.<\/p>\n IBF Featherweight champion Josh \u201cThe Leeds Warrior\u201d Warrington had one title defense this year.<\/p>\n WBO Featherweight champion Emanuel \u201cVaquero\u201d Navarrete will be defending his title in his first fight of the year this weekend against Eduardo \u201cEl Gemelo\u201d Baez.<\/p>\n WBA and IBF Super Bantamweight champion Murodjon \u201cMJ\u201d Mkhmadeliev had one title defense this year. WBC and WBO Super Bantamweight champion Stephen \u201cCool Boy Steph\u201d Fulton had one title defense.<\/p>\n WBA, WBC, and IBF Bantamweight champion Naoya \u201cMonster\u201d Inoue made his one defense in June.<\/p>\n WBA and WBC Super Flyweight champion Juan \u201cEl Gallo\u201d Francisco Estrada will be having his first bout in a title defense in September against Argi Cortes.<\/p>\n WBC Super Flyweight champion Jesse \u201cBam\u201d Rodriguez Franco has made two title defenses, with a third scheduled in September against Israel \u201cJiga\u201d Gonzalez.<\/p>\n IBF Super Flyweight champion Fernando \u201cPumita\u201d Daniel Martinez had one title defense this year.<\/p>\n WBO Super Flyweight champion Kazuto Ioka had one lone defense.<\/p>\n WBA Flyweight champion Artem Dalakian hasn\u2019t fought since November of 2021.<\/p>\n WBC Flyweight champion Julio \u201cEl Rey\u201d Cesar Martinez lost in his lone fight this year in moving up to Super Flyweight.<\/p>\n IBF Flyweight champion Sunny \u201cShowtime\u201d Edwards made his lone defense in March.<\/p>\n WBO Flyweight champion Junto Nakatani made his lone defense in April.<\/p>\n WBA Super Light Flyweight champion Hiroto Kyoguchi made his lone defense in June.<\/p>\n WBC Light Flyweight champion Kenahiro Teraji had his lone defense in March.<\/p>\n WBO Light Flyweight champion Jonathan Gonzalez made his lone defense in June.<\/p>\n WBA Super Minimum champion Thammanoon Niyomtrong made his lone defense in July.<\/p>\n WBC Minimum champion Panya Pradabsri made his lone defense in March and is scheduled end of August to defend against Norihito Tanaka.<\/p>\n IBF Minimum champion Daniel \u201cCejitas\u201d Valladares won his title in July in his lone bout.<\/p>\n WBO Minimum champion Masataka Taniguchi made his lone defense in April.<\/p>\n WBC Super Flyweight champion Jesse \u201cBam\u201d Rodriguez Franco is the overall leader with two defenses and a third scheduled in September.<\/p>\n
