{"id":1182426,"date":"2022-08-18T09:55:55","date_gmt":"2022-08-18T09:55:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/08\/18\/tiktoking-student-nurse-who-was-summoned-over-viral-video-apologises\/"},"modified":"2022-08-18T09:55:55","modified_gmt":"2022-08-18T09:55:55","slug":"tiktoking-student-nurse-who-was-summoned-over-viral-video-apologises","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/08\/18\/tiktoking-student-nurse-who-was-summoned-over-viral-video-apologises\/","title":{"rendered":"TikToking student nurse who was summoned over viral video apologises"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"article-text\" style=\"line-height: 2; letter-spacing: -0.5px;font-size: 18px;\">\n<p>                        <!--p class=\"ky_saved_articles_link\"><span class=\"ky_saved_articles_hide\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\" class=\"ky_saved_articles_img\" alt=\"TikToking student nurse who was summoned over viral video apologises\" title=\"TikToking student nurse who was summoned over viral video apologises\"><\/span> Bookmark<\/p-->\n<p>The person at the centre of a social media controversy has expressed remorse over her actions.<\/p>\n<p>The student of the Nalerigu Nursing and Midwifery College was summoned over some comments she made in a video regarding her practice.<\/p>\n<p>Lubabatu Muhammed was seen in the footage on August 5 lamenting that she was forced by her family into the profession.<\/p>\n<p>She seemed to be miming over a voiceover on TikTok which further threatened patients to stay away from any facility she may be posted to as she may end up killing them.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/WhatsApp-Video-2022-08-16-at-8.59.05-AM.mp4\"\/><figcaption>Nursing student\u2019s viral post on August 5 which landed her in trouble<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIn case, I have graduated and you see me in the hospital, I mean working in the hospital, I am begging you ladies and gentlemen, run for your life because I may kill somebody there,\u201d she said in the video.<\/p>\n<p>The post subsequently triggered a reaction from the Nursing and Midwifery Council (N&#038;MC) in Accra who initiated disciplinary steps by summoning her.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"681\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/299746295_431812508986227_2772769347394340985_n-681x1024.jpg\" alt=\"TikToking student nurse who was summoned over viral video apologises\" class=\"wp-image-10032153049\"   title=\"TikToking student nurse who was summoned over viral video apologises\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>But the young lady has now expressed regret and apologized for her action.<\/p>\n<p>She is also facing a disciplinary committee put in place by the management of the school in the North East Region.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to JoyNews, the training nurse explained that the video was made for fun to entertain her followers online and that all words expressed in the video were from a trending voiceover.<\/p>\n<p>According to the student, her brother and others advised that she pulls the skit down, which she did.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey should forgive me. It was out of ignorance,\u201d she told JoyNews on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-myjoyonline-com wp-block-embed-myjoyonline-com\"\/>\n<p>She also filmed another video apologising to her TikTok audience which was not enough to deflect the wrath of the N&#038;MC.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/WhatsApp-Video-2022-08-18-at-9.37.33-AM.mp4\"\/><figcaption>She also filmed another video apologising to her audience which was not enough to deflect the wrath of the N&#038;MC.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI love my profession,\u201d she is heard saying in the video posted 6 days ago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI never mean to hurt anybody in the future when I\u2019m working.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She is therefore pleading for forgiveness from her school and its allied institutions,  Council, her family, and the general public.<\/p>\n<p>                <!-- Post Tags --><\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The person at the centre of a social media controversy has expressed remorse over her actions.
