{"id":1180842,"date":"2022-08-17T06:49:44","date_gmt":"2022-08-17T06:49:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/08\/17\/ndc-internal-polls-were-not-competing-with-npp\/"},"modified":"2022-08-17T06:49:44","modified_gmt":"2022-08-17T06:49:44","slug":"ndc-internal-polls-were-not-competing-with-npp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/08\/17\/ndc-internal-polls-were-not-competing-with-npp\/","title":{"rendered":"NDC internal polls: We&#8217;re not competing with NPP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The National Democratic Congress Youth Organiser, George Opare Addo, has rubbished suggestions his party is lagging behind the New Patriotic Party ahead of the 2024 elections.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on <strong>Face to Face <\/strong>on <strong>Citi TV<\/strong>, Mr. Addo said the NDC was currently on schedule with its election timeline.<\/p>\n<p>The NPP finished its internal elections in July 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is only one who is ignorant about electoral processes who assumes the NDC is not serious,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs I sit here today, we have finished elections in 14 regions for branches. We are only left with Ashanti and Eastern Region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is the branches where the challenge is; 38,000 polling stations, electing officers for all of them\u2026 the biggest part of the job has been done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Addo also noted that the term of the NDC executives had not yet ended after being elected in October 2018.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are in no competition in electing executives with the NPP. Who told you our party is not ready?
