Will Smith\u00a0and wife,\u00a0Jada Pinkett-Smith, were spotted together in public for the first time since the infamous Oscars slap, which occurred in March.<\/p>\n

The couple enjoyed an afternoon date at Nobu Malibu on Saturday as they were photographed out together for the first time since Will, 53,\u00a0smacked Chris Rock on stage\u00a0in defense of Jada, 50, at the 94th\u00a0Academy Awards.<\/p>\n

They appeared to be in good spirits and a beard-sporting Will even threw the peace sign to a fan as Jada appeared to hold onto his belt loop while they walked to their car.<\/p>\n

The debacle at March\u2019s awards show unraveled after\u00a0Rock, 57, made light of Jada\u2019s hair loss (she\u2019s been open about\u00a0living with alopecia). \u201cJada, I love ya.\u00a0G.I. Jane 2<\/em>, can\u2019t wait to see ya,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n

Will then walked onto the stage and slapped Rock in the face, leaving the audience and live viewers around the world stunned. \u201cOh wow,\u201d said Rock as Will made his way back to his seat. \u201cWill Smith\u00a0just smacked the s\u2014 out of me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cKeep my wife\u2019s name out your f\u2014ing mouth!\u201d Will yelled up to the stage after taking his seat. The\u00a0King Richard\u00a0star went on to\u00a0win Best Actor\u00a0later in the night.<\/p>\n

He has since\u00a0apologized to Rock\u00a0and\u00a0resigned\u00a0from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which\u00a0banned him from the awards show\u00a0for 10 years. He can still be nominated and win one of the coveted awards.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Fresh Prince of Bel-Air\u00a0alum most recently\u00a0shared another apology\u00a0for Rock last month, posting a video across his social media accounts in which he extended an olive branch.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he\u2019s not ready to talk, and when he is he will reach out. So I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behaviour was unacceptable, and I\u2019m here whenever you\u2019re ready to talk,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Will also mentioned Jada in the video, assuring that she didn\u2019t tell him \u201cto do something,\u201d adding: \u201cNo. It\u2019s like\u2026 I made a choice on my own from my own experiences, from my history with Chris. Jada had nothing to do with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry, babe. I want to say sorry to my kids and my family for the heat that I\u2019ve brought on all of us,\u201d Will added.<\/p>\n
