After achieving a disheartening result against Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea is looking forward to the encounter against Leeds United. The Blues are currently in third place, two points behind the leaders of the league. They hope to continue their recent surge and eventually catch up to the leaders.<\/p>\n

The Blues team that faced the Spurs was sharp and excellent, but there were glaring weaknesses in certain areas. A new lineup, with a 4-2-2-2 shape, is necessary as the club gets ready to face Leeds.<\/p>\n

Goalkeeper<\/p>\n

Mendy has been an integral part of the Blues’ success, and he should be given another chance to start.<\/p>\n

Defense<\/p>\n

Tuchel shifted to a four-man defense formation against Tottenham, and the defense held firm. To that end, Koulibaly and Silva need to form a wall, while Cucurella and James should maintain their positions on the defensive wings. Like the 3-4-3 formation, both players can play in the higher or lower positions as the situation calls for.<\/p>\n

Midfield<\/p>\n

Loftus-Cheek and Kovacic should remain in the attack, while Kante and Gallagher protect the back line.<\/p>\n

Attack<\/p>\n

Since two forwards are required, Raheem Sterling should play on the left, and Kai Havertz on his preferred right.<\/p>\n
