Vivo Energy Ghana, has handed over a renovated St. Peter\u2019s Primary School Block at Poase New Takoradi, to the community.<\/p>\n
It was to complement the government\u2019s efforts towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals \u20184\u2019 of ensuring equitable education for all.<\/p>\n
In addition to the renovation, the company furnished the school block with dual classroom and teachers\u2019 desks, bookshelves and ceiling fans.<\/p>\n
Commercial Manager of Vivo Energy Ghana, Nana Bernard Bosompem, stressed that the renovation of the community school was a testament of the company\u2019s commitment to the development of its communities.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cWe take pride in the impact of this initiative knowing that the facility will be used to educate and transfer knowledge to the younger ones\u201d.<\/p>\n
He was hopeful that the new classroom block will provide a safe shelter and a conducive environment for academic excellence to thrive.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn line with our environmental sustainability programme dubbed Cyclean, we will donate waste bins to promote waste segregation in the school\u201d, he assured.<\/p>\n
The Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, commended the oil marketing company for complementing\u00a0government\u2019s efforts in making education accessible to all.<\/p>\n
He said the government was committed to helping the private sector to grow so they could support their communities\u2019 development.<\/p>\n
The headteacher of the school, Madam Lawrencia Vroom was grateful to Vivo Energy for the initiative and called on other entities operating in the area to emulate.<\/p>\n
