The Recording Academy has presented\u00a0Edgar\u00a0Nabeyin Panford, the Ghanaian record producer, his Grammy Award nomination certificate for his work with American rapper, Kanye West.<\/p>\n
Delivered last week, the certificate was in recognition of Nabeyin\u2019s\u00a0role\u00a0in producing\u00a0Kanye West\u2019s\u00a0Donda\u00a0album.<\/p>\n
It was nominated for the Album of The Year at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 3, 2022.<\/p>\n
The certificate reads \u201cThe Recording Academy presents this certificate to Edgar\u00a0Nabeyin\u00a0Panford\u00a0in recognition of your participation as Producer on the Grammy Award-nominated recording \u201cDonda\u201d (Kanye West) Album of the Year at the 64th Grammy Awards Year 2021\u201d.<\/p>\n
As the only peer-recognized music award, the GRAMMY is the music industry\u2019s highest honor.<\/p>\n
Donda\u00a0is Kanye West\u2019s 10th studio album. The 27-track collection features guest vocals from the Sunday Service Choir, Jay-Z,\u00a0Playboi\u00a0Carti, Lil Baby, the\u00a0Weeknd,\u00a0Vory, Kid Cudi, DaBaby, Baby\u00a0Keem, and Marilyn Manson, among various others; vocals from Chris Brown were also included prior to the album being updated.<\/p>\n
Nabeyin\u00a0is a multi-platinum music producer from San Bernardino, CA but of Ghanaian origins.<\/p>\n
He has been producing for about 14 years and have had the opportunity to work for Drake,\u00a0Nas,\u00a0The Game, Miguel, Nav, Isaiah Rashad, Rich\u00a0The\u00a0Kid, BET\u00a0and more.<\/p>\n
After several industry stakeholder and media engagements in Accra last June,\u00a0Nabeyin\u00a0is planning\u00a0to organize a music\u00a0camp for Ghanaian music talents in Accra by December this year.<\/p>\n
