He played just 28 times for PSG last season in an injury-hit campaign. Kylian Mbappe does make the list.<\/p>\n<p>Five-time Ballon d\u2019Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo is on the list after scoring 18 goals in 31 matches for Manchester United last season.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>The favourite for the 2022 Ballon d\u2019Or, Karim Benzema\u2019s 44 goals powered Carlo Ancelotti\u2019s Real Madrid side to La Liga and Champions League triumph last season.<\/p>\n<p>Following Real Madrid\u2019s Super Cup win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday night, Benzema suggested he was\u00a0able to take his game to another level\u00a0after Cristiano Ronaldo left the Liga club.<\/p>\n<p>Thibaut Courtois, who is\u00a0named on the Yachine Trophy shortlist\u00a0awarded to the best goalkeeper, Champions League final match-winner Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric and Casemiro are also listed in the top 30 for the main prize. New signing Antonio Rudiger, who had an impressive season for Chelsea last season, is on the list.<\/p>\n<p>Last season\u2019s Premier League joint top goalscorer Mohamed Salah is included, after also providing the most assists last season, despite Liverpool falling just short of the title. He is joined by team-mates Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Luis Diaz, Fabinho and Darwin Nunez. Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son are Tottenham\u2019s representatives.<\/p>\n<p>AC Milan\u2019s Rafael Leao and goalkeeper Mike Maignan are on the list after winning the Serie A title last season.<\/p>\n<p>Christopher Nkunku \u2013 Bundesliga Player of the Season for 2021\/22 \u2013 and Bayern Munich\u2019s Joshua Kimmich all make the cut alongside former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane.<\/p>\n<p>Robert Lewandowski \u2013 now a Barcelona player \u2013 is once again nominated after scoring more goals than he had appearances in both the Bundesliga and Champions League for Bayern Munich last season; 48 goals in 44 matches.
