The \u201cDon\u2019t Worry Darling\u201d star and director was victorious in a California court after the judge ruled that their two children, eight-year-old Otis and five-year-old Daisy, lived in the Golden State.<\/p>\n
The 38-year-old actress had claimed the \u201cTed Lasso\u201d star, 46, who wanted the children to call New York home, had served the custody documents in April \u201cin the most aggressive way possible\u201d at Comic Con where she had been speaking on a panel about her new movie.<\/p>\n
In a filing, Wilde claimed that Sudeikis, whom she was in a relationship with from 2011 until 2020, intended to \u201cembarrass\u201d and \u201cthreaten\u201d her by getting the papers delivered in such a public setting.<\/p>\n
Wilde, who is romantically involved with pop singer Harry Styles, 28, said in the court documents: \u201cJason\u2019s actions were clearly intended to threaten me and catch me off guard. He could have served me discreetly, but instead he chose to serve me in the most aggressive manner possible.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fact that Jason would embarrass me professionally and put our personal conflict on public display in this manner is extremely contrary to our children\u2019s best interests. <\/p>\n
\u201cSince Jason has made it clear that we will not be able to work this out for our children\u2019s sake outside of the court system, I filed a petition for custody in Los Angeles.\u201d<\/p>\n
At the time, an insider confirmed that the former \u201cSNL\u201d star had wanted to file the motion but he didn\u2019t intend to do it so dramatically.<\/p>\n
They said: \u201cPapers were drawn up to establish jurisdiction relating to the children of Ms Wilde and Mr Sudeikis. He would never condone her being served in such an inappropriate manner.\u201d<\/p>\n
