On Monday night, armed robbers invaded the Abeokuta home of the famous Nigerian actor Hafiz \u2018Saka\u2019 Oyetoro, demanding \u20a620 million.<\/p>\n
The actor\u2019s filmmaker friend, Kayode Soaga, who confirmed the incident on Facebook on Monday, said the robbers wielded pump action guns, machetes, and break-in tools and unleashed mayhem on the neighbourhood.<\/p>\n
Mr. Soaga said the robbers broke into Saka\u2019s house at about 2:00am.<\/p>\n
He said his security guards were tied down while three other houses on the street were robbed with more devastating effects.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey broke the burglary proof and went straight to him, demanding \u20a620m or his life, threatening to kill and destroy.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2018He begged and pleaded. They later came down to \u20a63m, which he said he doesn\u2019t have. They dazed him with a resounding slap etc. The armed robbers packed all android phones, iPhones, laptops and all available cash in the home and collected all ATM Cards,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He said the robbers came with POS to empty money in a\u00e7counts, saying Saka\u2019s security guards were demobilised while the guards of his neighbours were not too lucky as they were shot several times in the arms.<\/p>\n
Thankfully, Nobody died in this incident. He\u2019s doing fine,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The 58-year-old actor and lecturer in the department of theatre arts at\u00a0Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education,<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos State, is said to be doing fine with his family after the shocking incident.<\/p>\n Saka, who became a household name after he was featured as the main character in a 2013 MTN advert where he announced \u201cI don port o\u2019\u2019, is known for his comic roles in Nollywood movies.<\/p>\n Some of his memorable movie roles are The Wedding Party and the comedy-crime\/heist film Ojukokoro (Greed).<\/p>\n The actor also starred in popular movies The Wedding Party\u2019 (2016). <\/p>\n <\/p><\/div>\n
