Prince Nyarko\u2019s Death<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The harsh MD claims that he must make difficult choices in order to meet the deadlines set by the state; as a result, he will not make concessions to those who refuse to pay for the electricity they use.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are certain points in time, to be a leader you must stand up and be counted. If I really wanted to please everybody I would be selling waakye or giving people ice cream. I have to make certain tough decisions. I know there are children there doing their WASSCE, I know people have businesses that run on the power but these are the same people since 2014 some of them are not paying and you and I are paying their bills. Why should we continue doing that? What kind of example are we teaching our children? I am saying let\u2019s all stand up and be counted.<\/p>\n<p>He cautioned the residents of Somanya against viewing electricity as a fundamental entitlement. He claims that having access to energy is more like a privilege.
