Jane Seymour says Olivia Newton-John \u201cwas beyond a fighter\u201d.<\/p>\n
The former Bond girl called the \u201cGrease\u201d star \u2013 who died on Monday at the age of 73, more than 30 years after being first diagnosed with breast cancer \u2013 a \u201cthriver\u201d and remarked she \u201cbroke all the rules of science\u201d.<\/p>\n
The 71-year-old actress told Entertainment Tonight: \u201cShe broke all the rules of science. I mean, she just kept going and going and going. She was beyond a fighter. She always said she\u2019s a thriver. <\/p>\n
\u201cThat was her word, \u2018Not a survivor, a thriver.\u2019 And I think she taught me and everyone I know so much about living with and passing with cancer. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re all gonna go one day, but (are you) gonna go, \u2018Ugh I\u2019m so terrified, I\u2019m angry, I\u2019m gonna isolate. I\u2019m not gonna let anyone know, I\u2019m gonna be all alone and go through it\u2019 \u2013 or do you do what she did and just be brave and say, \u2018Hey, I\u2019m going through something a lot of people go through\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
Seymour revealed that Newton-John found comfort in her \u201cfinal years\u201d in having good friends by her side.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cEven in her final years when I would go and see her, all she wanted to know was what I was doing, you know, \u2018Are you happy? What\u2019s going on in your life? How are your kids? How\u2019s this, how\u2019s that?\u2019 She appreciated close friends and she just lived a full and sort of spiritual life, really.\u201d<\/p>\n
The \u201cDr Quinn, Medicine Woman\u201d star also shared that the \u201cXanadu\u201d star found comfort in the natural world near her Malibu home.<\/p>\n Seymour said: \u201cI was looking at her going, \u2018I don\u2019t think I\u2019m ever going to see you again\u2019 She just sat out there and she said, \u2018Look at those birds, look at the hummingbirds, look at the dogs, look at the horses. So beautiful\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201cShe was just kind of blissing out on the fact that she was alive in nature and that she wanted to see what was good in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n Seymour \u2013 who is mother to Katie Flynn, Sean Flynn, Kristopher Keach and John Stacey Keach \u2013 shared how she bonded with Newton-John, talking to her about juggling parenthood with showbiz. Newton-John went on to have daughter Chloe, now 36, with her ex, Matt Lattanzi.<\/p>\n She said: \u201cI managed to have my first baby, Katie, and I\u2019ve never forgotten \u2013 we were on the beach in Malibu and (Newton-John) wanted me to bring the baby and she looked at me, and she held Katie in her arms, and and she said, \u2018How do you do this?\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cI said, \u2018What do you mean?\u2019 She said, \u2018How do you have a career and work as hard as you do and have a baby? How do you do that?\u2019 And I said, \u2018You could do it.\u2019 And she said, \u2018Can I?\u2019 And I said, \u2018Yeah\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
