After 10 years in the showbiz industry, popular Ghanaian musician Mzvee has been recounting how she began her music career. <\/p>\n
Speaking in an interview on JoyNews\u2019 Becky <\/strong>on <\/strong>E-Vibes <\/strong>she said \u201cI didn\u2019t want to become a musician.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHonestly, I didn\u2019t know what I wanted to become at all. So I was going to school still trying to figure myself out when I got introduced to music by a friend. I got a call from my friend after secondary school saying she wanted to form a group, even though I knew my parents will not agree, I accepted the offer and that was where it all began,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n The 30-year-old musician acknowledged the role of Samira Buari and her former record label Lynx entertainment as they helped in discovering her talent.<\/p>\n MzVee<\/em> first burst onto the Ghanaian music scene in the summer of 2012 as the lead singer of Lynx Entertainment\u2019s girl band D3. The band had popular hits like \u201cGood Girls Gone Bad\u201d and \u201cGyani Gyani\u201d before disbanding at the end of 2013 due to the young members\u2019 educational commitments.<\/p>\n MzVee<\/em> later launched her solo career with her debut single \u2018Borkor Borkor\u2019 released in January 2014. She followed this with the hit single \u2018Natural Girl\u2019 and went on to win the \u2018Unsung Artiste Award\u2019 at the 2014 Ghana Music Awards. <\/p>\n Her debut album was released in November 2014 and features collaborations with several award-winning artistes such as Stonebwoy, VIP, Shatta Wale, Richie Mensah, M.anifest and Didier Awadi.<\/p>\n She has five albums to her credit.<\/p>\n E-Vibes is on JoyNews<\/strong> this and every Saturday at 8:30am, viewers will get the chance to catch playbacks on, Sundays at 10:30am and Fridays at 6:30pm.<\/p>\n On Joy Prime<\/strong>, E-Vibes<\/strong> airs on Saturday, at 4:00pm.
