So, I can\u2019t even quantify [their work] it. It\u2019s limitless and I\u2019m grateful for their prompt response.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But the psychologists say the boys have a long way to recovery as they suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Fordjuor is a Clinical Psychologist and leader of the team.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/The-Jacksons-Pyschologists-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"The Jacksons-Pyschologists www,myjoyonline.com\" class=\"wp-image-10032148451\"   title=\"Children whose parents died under bizarre circumstances diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder\"\/><figcaption>Clinical <strong><em>Psychologist, Daniel Fordjuor interacting with  some family members of the Jacksons<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve assessed them; we\u2019ve seen some symptoms of PTS (Post-traumatic stress disorder) but like I said, it has to be gradual. It has to take time. It has to go as slow as possible and by so doing, I think we can get them back on their feet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnybody that goes through this normally will have marked symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.<\/p>\n<p>It is basically marked by a prolonged apprehension of a very threatening event that an individual might have gone through.<\/p>\n<p>The person will still exhibit this prolonged anxiety and it actually goes on to affect their physical wellbeing,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-myjoyonline-com wp-block-embed-myjoyonline-com\"\/>\n<p>The death of Mr and Mrs Jackson,\u00a0a well-to-do couple believed to have died in their locked apartment for several weeks, has left many Ghanaians asking the cause of their death.<\/p>\n<p>Many had hoped the recovery of the couple\u2019s children could help give some clues to the police on the death.<\/p>\n<p>But Mr. Fordjuor wants Ghanaians to give the children some space to recover as psychologists work around the clock.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur work, kind of, is putting the family in a state where they can collaborate with the police in helping police uncover what has happened and because of that, it is very difficult if the public is in such apprehension to know what happened. I think we should give police that space to operate and do their investigations and know what happened,\u201d Mr. Fordjuor said.<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cFor our part, we want to secure the psychological well-being of everybody that is involved.<\/p>\n<p>But the police will have to uncover exactly what happened and what might have caused it.
