The Management of Ghana Education Service has sent important Notice to all teachers concerning Transfers.<\/p>\n
According to the Management, INTER REGIONAL AND INTER\/INTRA DISTRICT REPOSTING has now commenced. This was revealed in a post shared by GES on Monday, 8th August 2022.<\/p>\n
Issuance of Assurance letters would begin from 11th August – 30th September 2022. The processing of applications to the Headquarters will also begin in September 2022 and take effect from the beginning of the next academic year(January 2023).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Steps Involved In Regional Transfer Or Reposting <\/strong><\/p>\n Step 1. An Applicant seeks for an Assurance from their Region of choice through their District\/Municipal\/Metro Directors of Education.<\/p>\n Step 2<\/p>\n Regional Directors declare their objection or otherwise, by issuing an assurance letter to the applicant.<\/p>\n Step 3<\/p>\n After securing the assurance letter, the applicant then applies for Reposting from his\/her current District.<\/p>\n The District Director writes a covering letter, after the applicant has completed an inter-regional form and attached all necessary documents (Eg. Current Payslip, Assurance Letter, Certificates, Bank Clearance, etc).<\/p>\n The District Director forwards the applicant’s documents to the Regional Education Office for onward submission to the Director General for final approval.<\/p>\n Step 4<\/p>\n After the Director-General’s approval is given, the Regional Director issues a release letter to the applicant to complete the reposting process.<\/p>\n NOTE: A teacher seeking Inter Regional reposting can only be released by the Regional Director after the Director-General has given final approval to the applicant<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Types Of Transfers Or Reposting In GES Explained <\/strong><\/p>\n 1. GES Inter-Regional Transfer<\/strong><\/p>\n This is the most difficult transfer to be granted. A teacher seeking to get an inter-regional transfer must give the Service a very tangible reason to be granted this form of transfer.<\/p>\n Inter-regional transfer refers to the transfer where a teacher is moved from the region he\/she currently is, to another region.<\/p>\n 2. GES Intra-District Transfer<\/strong><\/p>\n This form of transfer refers to the transfer which is within the same district. A teacher who seeks for this transfer simply wants to be moved from his\/her current school to a different one within the same district. 3.
