Britney Spears is \u201csaddened\u201d after her ex-husband publicly revealed their sons haven\u2019t seen her \u201cfor months\u201d.<\/p>\n
The \u2018Gimme More\u2019 singer has spoken out in response to an interview given by Kevin Federline, in which he claimed sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden 15, had \u201cdecided\u201d they didn\u2019t want to see their mother or attend her recent wedding to Sam Asghari, and suggested the teenagers were embarrassed by her revealing Instagram posts.<\/p>\n
Spears has now responded via her Instagram Story, admitting the comments were \u201churtful\u201d.<\/p>\n
She wrote: \u201cIt saddens me to hear that my ex husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children \u2026 as we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone \u2026 it concerns me the fact that the reason is based on my Instagram \u2026 it was LONG before Instagram \u2026 I gave them every thing \u2026 Only one word: HURTFUL \u2026 I\u2019ll say it \u2026 My mother told me \u2018You should GIVE them to their dad\u2019 \u2026 I\u2019m sharing this because I can \u2026 Have a good day folks!!!\u201d<\/p>\n
Asghari has also hit out at Federline over his comments, branding him \u201cirresponsible\u201d and insisted there was \u201cno validity\u201d to his claims.<\/p>\n
He shared a statement online which read: \u201cTo clarify my wife has never posted a nude selfie except of her butt which is quite modest these days. All other posts were implied nudity which can be seen in any ad for lotion or soap.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is no validity to his statement regarding the kids distancing themselves and it is irresponsible to make that statement publicly.\u201d<\/p>\n
The fitness trainer went on to take a swipe at Federline for having not \u201cworked much in over 15 years\u201d and questioned why the former dancer had praised Spears\u2019s estranged father, Jamie Spears, and backed her being under a conservatorship for so long.<\/p>\n
He continued: \u201cThe boys are very smart and will be 18 soon to make their own decisions and may eventually realise the \u201ctough\u201d part was having a father who hasn\u2019t worked much in over 15 years as a role model.<\/p>\n
\u201cI do not know him personally and have nothing against him aside from choosing to vilify my wife. His character is revealed by approval of the cruel 13 CShip and his loyalty to Jamie indicates his approval at time of conception as well.<\/p>\n
\u201cThings that are now considered normal issues and behaviour were magnified to justify a 13 year prison sentence. Anyone approving of it is wrong or benefiting from it somehow. I will not comment on this matter again except to say I have a job.\u201d<\/p>\n
In an interview for ITV News released by the Mail on Sunday newspaper, Federline \u2013 who also has Kori, 20, and Kaleb, 18, with Shar Jackson and Jordan, 11, and Peyton, eight, with wife Victoria Justice \u2013 claimed he \u201cdidn\u2019t feel comfortable\u201d with some of his ex-wife\u2019s recent behaviour.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cThe boys have decided they are not seeing her right now. It\u2019s been a few months since they\u2019ve seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere were a lot of things going on that I didn\u2019t feel comfortable with. They tried to give her the benefit of the doubt but at the same time, I can tell that sometimes, it hurts to be in that position.\u201d<\/p>\n
The \u2018Circus\u2019 singer was placed under a conservatorship governed by her father Jamie in 2008 following a public breakdown and \u2013 while the ruling was reversed by a Los Angeles court in 2021 thereby giving Spears control over her multimillion-dollar fortune and other aspects of her life \u2013 Kevin argued that the arrangement actually \u201csaved\u201d her life.<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cI saw this man that really cared, and really cares about his family and wanting everything to be okay,. When Jamie took over, things got into order. He saved her life.\u201d<\/p>\n
