{"id":1167178,"date":"2022-08-05T09:15:38","date_gmt":"2022-08-05T09:15:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/08\/05\/parents-should-be-motivated-by-this-how-8-year-old-girl-got-a-lifetime-scholarship-from-ablakwa\/"},"modified":"2022-08-05T09:15:38","modified_gmt":"2022-08-05T09:15:38","slug":"parents-should-be-motivated-by-this-how-8-year-old-girl-got-a-lifetime-scholarship-from-ablakwa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/08\/05\/parents-should-be-motivated-by-this-how-8-year-old-girl-got-a-lifetime-scholarship-from-ablakwa\/","title":{"rendered":"Parents Should Be Motivated By This; How 8-Year-Old Girl Got A Lifetime Scholarship From Ablakwa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<article>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/d99b739456fc4bae90962e3ebc6e9713\"\/><\/p>\n<p>An 8 year old primary three school girl has become an internet sensation for performing incredibly at just ended reading competition. <\/p>\n<p>Led by a victorious delegation from North Tongu Director of Education, Mrs. Isabella Regina Ayimey, they presented the phenomenal Samelia Mekporsigbe, a class 3 pupil of Battor DA Primary School and winner of the Volta Regional Reading Competition sponsored by the USAID Learning initiative to their member of parliament, Okudzeto Ablakwa.<\/p>\n<p>The amazing 8-year-old daughter of a NaBCo trainee will proceed to represent the Vollta Region at the national level in a few weeks after emerging the best from the circuit, district, and regional level where she competed with 17 other district champions.<\/p>\n<p>The member of parliament donated a Samsung Tablet with free internet connectivity and a wide array of e-reading collections for Samelia.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/b2ce39e2a9814fc1ac9da8cbf3ffc0f7\"\/><\/p>\n<p>She has also been placed on the MP\u2019s scholarship programme for additional academic assistance until she graduates from the university. She told Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa that she wants to be a Judge one day. And per her reading prowess, she can achieve that dream.<\/p>\n<p>Ablakwa also handed out a cash amount of GHS3,000 to support her preparations for the national reading competition in Accra.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/bb13d66e42ef403c96d4ac278cafc3f3\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The Chiefs and people of North Tongu are really proud of young Samelia.
