Music Producer, Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus, said that if Afriyie Wutah wants the VGMA \u2018Audio Engineer of the Year\u2019 award so badly, the organizers of the scheme should go ahead and give it to him.<\/p>\n
This comes after Appietus said that, Afriyie Wutah didn\u2019t submit his name as the person who mixed and mastered his song \u201cCountry Hot\u201d\u2014a song nominated in the aforementioned category.<\/p>\n
On the Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, the Music producer said the artiste brought the song to him to mix and master before it was released on 14th August 2021.<\/p>\n
However, he said if Afriyie wants to take the credit for mixing and mastering his song, he can do so rightly.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf he wants the award that badly, they should give it to him,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n
The Azonto Fiesta producer said if the artiste added his name to his submission, Afriyie\u2019s name will still be retained in the nomination list, and he [Appietus\u2019] name will be added to the same category.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you had told them I mixed the song, they would not have removed you. They will just add your name because I mixed and mastered and you produced and recorded,\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n
The \u201cCountry Hot\u201d song, released in the midst of the \u201cFix the Country\u201d campaign which was topical in the last quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n
It addressed how the fix the country petition came about and the reactions it attracted.<\/p>\n
