Acting President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bessa Simons, has revealed the Union\u2019s intention of going entirely digital.<\/p>\n
He said the objective is to unite industry players as well as facilitate money making for members.<\/p>\n
The veteran highlife singer made the revelation on Joy FM\u2019s Showbiz A-Z<\/strong>, last Saturday. \u201cWhen MUSIGA goes fully digital, I think it will lure all the industry players to join because you will have about 175 countries to put your link in, so once you join you are seen all over the world in our digital bottle\u201d, he asserted.<\/p>\n Bessa Simons believes that it is long overdue for MUSIGA to digitalize its operations because it bears benefits for all stakeholders. <\/p>\n Among the many benefits associated with digitalization of MUSIGA\u2019s operations is finance. Bessa Simons mentioned that artistes that are registered with the Union stand a chance of making more revenue if its intention comes to fruition. \u201cThis is what the modern and young guys are all looking for\u2026you won\u2019t have any choice than to come to MUSIGA because you\u2019ll make more money from there\u201d, he underscored.<\/p>\n Bessa Simons has a strong conviction that once artistes join MUSIGA\u2019s yet to be commissioned fully digitalized platform, it will boost their level of international recognition.<\/p>\n This revelation by the acting MUSIGA President seems like a great idea, however, it might fail to see the light of day if the Union\u2019s pending national executive election does not to take place.<\/p>\n <\/p><\/div>\n
